Care and Support

The most obvious expression of our love for our neighbor is found in the caring ministries of Trinity Church. As we provide for the physical and spiritual needs of both our members and our neighbors in this community and beyond, we strive to obey the instructions of Jesus and become His hands and feet, sharing His love with those in need.

Trinity has a wide variety of "hands on" ministry opportunities that we sponsor and we also participate in many joint ministries with other churches. These ministries include:

  • Homebound Meals - Contact the Church office (281-421-0090)
Homebound Meals is a ministry that will provide a meal for our parishioners who have just come home from the hospital. .
  • Sunday Morning Healing Ministry - Betty Waddell (832-696-2289)
This is a powerful ministry that goes on each Sunday during communion. It is one of our Healing Ministries, and we are in need of additional Healing Ministers.

  • Hospital Visitation - Eleanor Albon (281-428-7787)
Volunteers for this ministry visit members of our congregation who are hospitalized in Baytown.

  • Lay Eucharistic Visitors - John Lefeber (281-427-9476)
Lay Eucharistic Visitors (LEVs) take communion to shut-ins at their homes or in the hospital.

  • Tract Racks - Gary and Donna Garner (281-427-4630)
The primary mission of this ministry is to insure that the latest issues of Forward in Faith and Our Daily Bread are available to our church family and our visitors.

  • Loaves and Fishes - Susan Hazelwood (281-383-2544)
Loaves and Fishes is a ministry of the women of Trinity. We prepare, setup, serve, and cleanup for funeral receptions of church members and their families.

  • Ongoing Breveament Support Group - The Reverend Micki Rios (281-421-3935)
This is a Christ-centered bereavement grief support program that meets weekly during the daytime.

  • Contemplative Prayer - Grady and Eileen Hicks (713-453-5786)
In contemplative Prayer, we rest in silence in God's presence, accepting that God knows our needs and that this knowledge is the love which creates and will eventually complete us.  The Trinity Contemplative Prayer groups meet on Wednesday evenings from 5:30-6:20 p.m., in the Guild Room.

  • Helping Hands - Karlas Jordan (281-426-8053) and Joanne Villemez (281-385-1056)
This is a ministry that provides those in need with a handmade prayer blanket to show them that they are loved and prayed for, and to impart a feeling of being “wrapped up” in God’s love.
